What is Kubernetes Academy?
Kubernetes Academy offers classroom training for professional developers, DepOps specialists and I.T. Pros, available as public courses or as corporate on-site training. We are not related to Kubernetes.io, The Linux Foundation or CNCF.
Are you offering virtual classes as well?
Yes, we do offer virtual classes. You get the same training experience and the same interaction with the trainer.
What do I need to attend a virtual class?
We use the widely popular Zoom conferencing tool. Beside the course setup on your laptop, you will need a second screen.
- Option 1: Connect an external monitor to your computer/laptop so you can practice using the main screen and watch the course on the second screen.
- Option 2 : Use a second computer or a tablet (iPad, Android) to watch the course.
Where do you offer this course?
Public courses are available on a regular basis in all major Canadian cities. We love to travel to smaller markets from time to time.
Can we customize the content?
No, public classes strictly follow the courses outlines but if possible, we can definitely tailor the content for corporate on-site training to fit your team's preferences and expectations.
Is the Azure/AWS/Google Cloud cost included?
No, you need to provide your own account and the services that you'll use during the course will be charged to your account.
What do you mean by "live coding"?
(Learn + Try) * RepeatThe trainer will explain a topic and quickly switch to a live coding exercise that each participant will also do at the same time. This means shorter but more often periods of labs that boost the learning experience.
What do participants get?
You get the training material in PDF files, the source code used in the course and a certificate of completion.
I don't have an Azure/AWS/Google Cloud account, can I get free usage credits?
Each Cloud provider offer some free services when you create a new account. Note that the services you'll use during this course might not be covered by the free trial credits/offers.
What if I don't have a laptop?
We do not provide laptops so you need to bring your own.
Is it OK to bring a MAC or a PC?
Of course! Consult each course's description for specific requirements.

Can we host this course at our office?
Of course! If you provide a room with WiFi, projector/TV and classroom setup (a conference room is OK). Contact us to schedule a session now! Minimum 6 participants (3 in the Montreal area).
Need to make travel plans?
If you need to make travel plans to attend a public course, we ask you to contact us prior to do that. Once the course has been confirmed (enough participants), we will contact you so you can organize your travel. This way, you don't get stuck with a plane ticket if a course is cancelled.
